People in Pakistan
The people of Pakistan are diverse ethnically. This diversity in Pakistan is the result of history and its geographic location. Historically region which Pakistan comprises was invaded many times during different periods by different rulers having different identities. Sometime Aryans and sometimes Muslims and sometimes Mongols. After independence in 1947 in Pakistan some other ethnic identities penetrated into Pakistan i.e Urdu speaking Mohajirs in 1947 and Afghan refugees during 1980's afghan wars, which dramatically changed the demographic situation of certain areas of Pakistan. The People of Pakistan belongs to the ethnic groups such as Dravidian, Indo-Aryan, Greek, Scythian, Hun, Arab, Mongol, Persian, and Afghan. Religion in Pakistan always supercede ethnicity. It is because of Pakistan's History and policies of leaders later on after independence. People speak many languages and perform many different cultural rituals.
